What is therapy, and how does it help?

Do you ever wish that life felt more fulfilling? Does it ever feel like you have a hard time knowing who you are, what you are feeling, or what you need? Do you ever wish that you felt more connected with others, and less isolated?

There are times in life when we just feel “stuck,” and have a hard time finding our way out. There can be many things that come along in life that get us off the track that we want to be on, whether it be depression, anxiety, grief, or hurtful events from our past. I have helped many people who come to therapy with these very feelings, and have watched them embrace a life that feels fulfilling, authentic, and satisfying.

My goal in therapy is to help you feel like you have a better understanding of how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Through this process, you can come to feel like you understand yourself better, and can feel more in control of your life. Therapy should feel respectful, mutual, and collaborative. Together, we will work to create space for lasting and meaningful growth to occur in your life.
